I want to try chai, but have never had it before
I dont know where to start
Chai is a cozy, spiced milk tea, and the Chai Starter Kit is a great first stop. It’s $26 and includes our Karak Chai Blend plus a strainer, so you’ll only need milk, water, and sugar to make your first cup.
Tell me about the taste, I recall it being very “earthy” is that right?
It’s more tea-forward than earthy. Our Karak Chai Blend has a strong Assam black tea base with crushed cardamom, so it tastes bold, malty, and warmly aromatic rather than sweet or heavily spiced.

Wa alaikum salaam! Yes, 140 g is the individual bag size we currently offer online. If you’d like more, our Chai Lover Bundle has four bags, totaling 560 g.
And it’s Pakistan style correct?
Yes! It’s Pakistani-style karak chai, inspired by our founders’ roots in Karachi. Strong black tea with cardamom, simmered with milk, and you can sweeten it to your taste:)
So it’s doesn’t have sugar? Do you have with sugar ?
That’s right, our blend has no added sugar. We don’t have a pre-sweetened bag online, unfortunately, but you can add sugar when brewing it to make it as sweet as you like:)

I haven’t made a cup yet. Ran out of milk. Lol. But I’m using the Loka Chai maker. Any differences with the directions?
Thanks for asking! I don’t have a confirmed Loka-specific adjustment for our blend. Once you’ve got milk, follow the Loka’s fill-line and heating directions, then use the Karak recipe quantities on the bag, simmering for about 5 minutes before straining.
So I keep brewing your tea blend for longer. 10 minutes. For other tea blends it’s good. But with heavy elaichi it gets a little more bitter as it brews longer. Like I said I like a stronger tea but with this elaichi blend, the 5 minute subtle aromatic elaichi brew is delicious.
I’m glad you found that sweet spot! You like a strong cup, but it sounds like the subtle elaichi aroma at 5 minutes makes this one delicious without the extra bitterness:)
It’s very delicious letting it cool off as well and adding ice. Wow. Elaichi iced tea is amazing!!!
